to all the dancers of the world, a round form of fantasy - sweet trip

this whole album means a lot to me. i was absolutely floored at the production of this album. even today. this was all made in the early 2000s on cubase. i love sweet trip for many reasons. theyre from the bay area. valerie is filipino. and their music has helped me through tough times and inspired me musically. im very slowly feeling some sort of return of normality in my life and this has helped ground me and to start try making music again.

honestly it was a toss up between this song and ‘new disaster’, also by him. but personally, this track has been on my mind a bit more this week and the last. “dont keep me around / just make it over” are lyrics i resonate with deeply. actually i resonate with the song in its entirety. the way i interpret this song is the narrator being fed up with all the hurt/abuse that someone/something has caused them, and addressing it as a means to be done with it finally. there is too much hurt and while i would stay, if i do, theres like a constant thorn that keeps inflicting hurt. im bullshitting words. yeah.

the bridge in this song is too good. fuck mars argo we miss you. fuck titanic sinclaire or whatever his dumbass name is. but also i chose this song cause i feel like im going crazy despite this being such a calm actual week of the new year and i dont know what to do. LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
